Pumpkin Fright - An Irish Whiskey Cocktail

The Old Fashioned is the original whiskey cocktail, dating back a couple hundred years. Originally conceived with simple sugar dissolved in a glass with bitters and ice, drinkers were then given their whiskey to pour themselves. A skeptic might think it was done this way to make the harsh style of 19th century whiskey drinkable. Regardless, the drink has endured over time and is even "reinvented" by creative bartenders.
The Pumpkin Fright is an Irish Old Fashioned using Irish whiskey, specifically Tullamore DEW blend, with a Halloween twist. This whiskey provides the drink with all three Irish styles: single malt, grain, and single pot still. Adding the Orange peel pumpkin face makes this a great choice for your holiday celebration.
Ingredients
- 2 oz./60ml. Tullamore DEW blend Irish Whiskey
- 0.75 oz./22ml Benedictine
- 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
- 2 Dashes Orange Bitters
- 1 Large Ice Cube

Garnish - Orange Slice, Pumpkin Face Garnish (carve your own jack o' lantern)

Instructions
Combine ingredients in a mixing or rocks glass. Stir and add ice cube
