Peppermint Paddy - Irish Whiskey Cocktail

The Peppermint Paddy is a festive Irish Whiskey cocktail that gets you in the holiday spirit without indulging in Christmas candy (unless you want to). Combining characteristics of chocolate and peppermint with whiskey can also help you cope through the year end holiday stress. The IWSA version uses Irish Whiskey in the cocktail and changes the candy spelling of peppermint patty to Paddy.
- 2 oz Paddy's Irish Whiskey blend**
- 0.5 oz creme de cacao
- 0.5 oz peppermint schnapps
- 2 dashes chocolate bitters
INSTRUCTIONS
- Combine ingredients in shaker with ice

Shake until chilled
- Strain into glass
- Garnish with broken candy cane pieces on rim of glass (optional)
- Garnish with whole candy cane (optional)
**For a slightly sweeter version, use Paddy's Share Irish Whiskey which brings the sherry, Christmas cake element to the cocktail.
