A longtime favorite around the holidays, this family recipe of the classic "milk punch" is sure to be a favorite with IWSA members. Whether you make homemade egg nog or buy your favorite store brand, enhance it with these recommended ingredients. This recipe makes approximately 3/4 of a gallon. The recommended brands work well together and are all readily available and affordable around the USA.
- 1/2 gallon Commercial or Homemade Egg Nog
- 2 cups Irish Whiskey (Slane Castle Triple Casked)
- 1 1/2 cups Brandy (E&J VSOP)
- 1 cup Dark Rum (Bacardi Black)
- Whipped Cream
Combine/Stir egg nog, whiskey, brandy, and rum in bowl. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Best when prepared in advance to help the flavors meld. Can be stored in a Rubbermaid or empty milk container if not being served immediately. Top off with a dollop of whipped cream and sprinkle of nutmeg when serving in glass.
Will keep for several days in the refrigerator.
