Irish Whiskey Society America formed in October 2010 in a now defunct pub in Boston. In October 2025, the IWSA celebrated 15 years as the premier Irish Whiskey club in the USA. As part of our 15th Anniversary Celebration, the IWSA compiled the 15 Favorite Irish Whiskeys from the membership. The countdown follows:

This 2016 release was the first of the Iberian Series and non-age statement single pot still range from Redbreast. Extra finishing in Oloroso Sherry.

Launched in 2018, a modern non-age statement expression of the classic Powers single pot still with robust spice and mouth covering barley.

Part of the Iberian series of non-age statement Redbreast editions. Released in 2021, this single pot still is finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry hogsheads.

Relaunched in 2020 as the youngest age statement in Midleton's Spot range of single pot still whiskeys but highest abv with its cask strength bottling.

Groundbreaking re-release in 2012 as the first new addition to the Spot range with its longer age statement and use of Malaga wine casks.

The OG cult favorite single pot still with tantalizing apple traits arrived in the USA in 2014, helping to further expand its fanbase.

This 2013 addition to the Redbreast core range elevated the single pot still experience to new heights for fans of the quintessential Irish Whiskey.

The oldest single pot still to the core Redbreast range at 27 years arrived in 2020. Released at cask strength with port matured Midleton whiskeys added to the traditional sherry aged Redbreast fans have grown to love.

An instant classic upon its release in 2011, the 12 year old single pot still from Midleton brought old style Dublin whiskey back to Irish Whiskey drinkers. Diehard Powers fans rejoiced while a new legion of fans have grown to love this bourbon aged, robust whiskey named for the former home of Powers Distillery.

Relaunched in 1991 by Irish Distillers, this beauty from Midleton Distillery carried the torch for the single pot still category (along with cult classic Green Spot) for 20 years! This multi-award winning classic is affectionately referred to as the Christmas cake whiskey and has spawned a now thriving extensive range of older and unique finished pot stills to its lineup.
